Bamboo Matcha Scoop
The tool traditionally used for scooping matcha powder is a Chasaku, which is crafted from bamboo and measures about 7 inches in length. Its purpose is to transfer the matcha powder from its container to the bowl, where it can be whisked into a delicious green tea.
It is a vital and graceful tool used to measure and transfer matcha powder into a tea bowl (chawan). Typically carved from a single piece of bamboo with a delicate 48-degree curve, a standard scoop measures about one-third of a teaspoon (roughly one gram) of powder.
